Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano is a loner who spends most of his time writing a diary on his cell phone or talking with his imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space; and Murmur, Deus' servant. One day, Deus gives Yuki a special diary, mentioning something about a game. Strangely, Yuki's new diary has entries in it spanning the next 90 days—entries about the future that come unnervingly true. Deus, the not-so-imaginary God of Time and Space, then forces Yuki to participate in a battle royale with eleven other people, each of whom also has a diary that can predict the future in some unique way. The rules of this "Diary Game" are simple: the contestants must try to find and kill all the other contestants before the world ends on Day 90, and only the last one standing can prevent the Apocalypse and become the new God of Time and Space. — Wikipedia

I found out about the series through a friend of mine from Sweden. Due to lack of time, I was able to finish watching the series yesterday.
The plot of Mirai Nikki really intrigue me. Every episode really left me mind blown. And also a few "WTH" moments with a few scenes probably considered as ecchi. I was totally not expecting that. But even then, I could not stop myself from watching it because of the amazing plot. To be honest though, I could probably say that the story is more about Yuno's affection towards Yuki using the other genre of the story as a build up of their love story.
Mid-way the anime, I got really pissed-off at the characters. Every character there seems to have a weird side that I find annoying, especially Yuno's psychotic side. She could go from being a lovestruck hopeless romantic to a psychotic overly attached wannabe-girlfriend of Yuki that would kill anybody, literally, who dares hinder their "happy ending" on July 28th. I ended up loving every characters after finding out their not so fortunate past.
Yukiteru kisses the dying Yuno for the last time.
The art of the story is pretty good. They did a great job in animating the action scenes, and also censoring a bunch of parts that are gory and pervy. For the audiences who are up for that, I think there are some uncencored version circulating the net.
The dubbing is awesome, too. The voice of every character really fits their personality. A great example would be Yuno's. Yuno's voice would vary from a shy high-pitch type to a dark deep voice, considering her personality.
The ending of the story is kinda vague. I highly advise for you to read the second half of the last chapter of the manga to clear things out.
The series also has some side-stories which are released in their manga verison. They are Mirai Nikki: Mosaic and Mirai Nikki: Paradox. The main characters of the side-stories are different from the original's. Mirai Nikki: Mosaic focuses on Uryuu Minene's pre-diary holder life, her survival when hiding due to her being a terrorist, and also her love life. Mirai Nikki: Paradox is about another parallel universe where Akise Aru substitutes the role of Yuki in the survival game while Murmur substitute's Yuno's due to a little mishap. Akise Aru must play through the game without while trying to maintain the same future of that universe to the real one. Both or the side-story are considered canon to the original series.
Now before I watched this series, I was sure that I am not a big fan of any series with a bunch of unrealistic stuffs, with the exception of Naruto. It actually made me realized that I am actually a big fan of this kind of genre. Mirai Nikki is no doubt one of my favorite anime now. I would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
I cannot wait for Mirai Nikki: Redial!
Well, that wraps up my Mirai Nikki review! This is my second review actually. I am not that confident at it, but hopefully I did a good job at it.
Thank you for reading this! Please do leave some constructive criticisms and your thoughts about that series.
Hey! I decided to make another website to spend the last few weeks of my summer instead of staying bored. This is my one-third of websites I have successfully published out of five, and this website would be my personal site.
Hopefully, I will not give up on this website and I will try my best to post things here. From thoughts to works, I shall post those things here. I think I am gonna use this site to see my maturity as I grow up, pretty much like a diary I guess.
I designed this site too look as simple as possible but at the same time unique. Simple to make it user friendly and pleasing to the eyes and unique to make it look awesome. I do hope you would like it.
Anyways, thanks for dropping by here! I really appreciate it. I gotta go now, I still have to get my self ready. Bye!
I got into this social networking thing when I was around twelve-year-old and the rest was history.
Being a "netizen" helped me in a lot of aspects in life. It made me aware of things that most people need to pay more attention to and gave me confidence. It also helped improve my English skills and technical skills Sure, there are negative effects that came along with it, but I have nothing to regret.
